We also won 1st place for Best Place to Work in 2026, making this the perfect time to join our growing team!As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers will do hourly patrols throughout the neighborhood, ensure there are no trespassers, and prevent any misconduct on site. Continuous responses to community members when needed, and clearing of park premises after hours.Shifts:Friday - 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM Saturday - 9:00 PM - 5:00 PM **16 hours per week guaranteed, plus opportunity for additional hours!Compensation:$21.00 per hourSecurity Guard Responsibilities:Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety.Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.Security Guard Qualifications:Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).Current with BSIS Compliance i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate32-hour continuing education certificatesClean driving record and ability to operate company/site vehicles safely.Experience working graveyard shifts.Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.Why Join Armorous?Award-Winning Company – Voted Best Security Company and Best Place to Work in the North Bay!
