This position is for a contracted Shared Living Provider for an individual with developmental disabilities to move into your home. A great opportunity to work from home and receive great pay!
Our shared living providers (SLP) are selected personally by all clients and guardians looking for SLP services. A shared living provider is contracted with Envisions to provide residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The individual would move into your home and live with you as you help them develop skills to gain more independence. SLP's are paid anywhere between $36,000-$105,000 per year, depending on the individuals funding received from the state. This is Tax Free Money as it is a protected income by law. On top of this yearly salary, SLP's are also paid $700 Room and Board per month for any individuals living with them to help pay for groceries, rent/mortgage, etc. Individuals meet with and are encouraged to stay overnight with all SLP's before making a decision to ensure every home is the right fit for them.Our shared living providers go through state and federal background checks and are required to read profiles of an individual to ensure compatibility and to learn as much as possible about the person moving into a shared living service.
These services give a great outlet to allow a branching out and a strive for independence, while still giving a structured and caring home to provide safety and security as well as healthy relationships. Ultimately leading to life achievements, self-actualization, and success!
Daily responsibilities include- Providing daily breakfast, lunch and dinner to the individual (included in the monthly room and board payment). Assisting individual in daily hygiene activities. Transportation to daily activities. Daily documentation of individual care and skill/behavior programs. etc. Envisions provides all necessary and required training in CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Behavioral De-Escalation, as well as Financial and online documentation. This enables SLP's to offer the support an individual needs to enjoy their greatest independence in the community and in life. Benefits Include-To become a shared living provider you must go through an extensive background check. You will also be required to complete training and meet all of our requirements prior to becoming a shared living provider. Envisions expects at least a year of experience in the field as a DSP/LSI.
