Schedule/Hours: Overnight 6:00pm-7:00am Will To Work Around Schedule For Which Day Of WeekAssists residents staying in the Corps shelter overnight; performs client intake procedures and prepares client intake records; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security, and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that facility is maintained in a neat and proper order. reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor or Corps Officer.Key Responsibilities:Assists in the intake of clients.Maintains proper intake forms and records.Completes nightly shift reports to communicate with other shelter monitors and daytime staff.Assists in serving clients mealsEnsures the safety of both the facility and clients by monitoring the property.Completes routine cleaning schedule.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to think clearly and quickly in order to maintain control of clients.Ability to effectively and efficiently work on with multiple people at the same time without becoming frustrated or disorganized.Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.Duties are usually performed seated.
